Synopsis
Tyre is a city found in Lebanon. If you look for it on a map you will notice that it protrudes out into the Mediterranean Sea. But in ancient times this wasn’t the case. Tyre wasn’t joined to the mainland at all. It was, in fact, an island city about half a mile offshore! So how has modern day Tyre become attached to the mainland? The answer lies in a prophecy foretold long ago by the prophet Ezekiel (Chapter 26).
In our talk we will look at this amazing prophecy in detail to see how wonderfully the prophet’s words were fulfilled two centuries after his death.
But Tyre is just one of many examples of history proving the accuracy of the inspired Word of God.
If we can see the hand of The Almighty directing events so accurately in the example of Tyre, then we can have faith in all His prophecies left on record in the Bible. So we hope that this talk will encourage us to do just that.
